Pediatric IBD Program

The Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Program at UCLA provides diagnosis and treatment services for children, adolescents and young adults suffering from Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Our Pediatric IBD team is committed to an integrated approach to the management of IBD, growth/bone development and psychosocial issues unique to children and adolescents who have IBD.

UCLA's Pediatric IBD team, including gastroenterologists, nurses, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists and researchers, will give your child expert care from the time of diagnosis through the long-term management of these diseases. By providing care for pediatric patients with IBD in a multidisciplinary setting established for their unique needs, UCLA's Pediatric IBD team takes care of the "whole" child. Our goal is to enable the child with IBD to lead a healthy and active life by providing the highest quality medical care, educating parents, caregivers and health professionals about IBD in children and striving to incorporate current evidence-based guidelines along with basic science research to offer the most up-to-date treatment options for our patients.
