Fellowship Program
Among the largest and most prestigious training programs in the world, the UCLA Program in Digestive Diseases provides an unmatched breadth and depth of clinical and research opportunities for its Fellows. The UCLA program exposes Fellows to a range of clinical experiences, including a major tertiary care University Hospital (Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center), a major tertiary care community hospital (Cedars-Sinai Medical Center), a tertiary care VA Hospital (West Los Angeles VA Medical Center), two County Hospitals (Harbor-UCLA and Olive View-UCLA Medical Centers), and a community based secondary care hospital (Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center). The program features instruction from internationally-recognized world experts in a range of GI fields, including GI bleeding and hemostasis, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac sprue, GI immunology, esophagology, motility, nutrition, obesity, pancreaticobiliary disorders, hepatology, functional GI disorders, small bowel disorders, mucosal immunology, epidemiology, health services research, GI pathology, and peptic ulcer disease, among others. The Program emphasizes research and offers support through a range of funding mechanisms, including the UCLA STAR Program and an NIH Training Grant.
